Youth Sports Coaches Corner

The City of Malibu is committed to monitoring the quality of the programs and services it provides, and asks all sports coaches to provide League/Program Feedback.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer coach for basketball, baseball, flag football, lacrosse, volleyball, or tennis must fill out and submit a Volunteer Application.

All coaches are subject to a background check. Background checks are run through Southeastern Security Consultants Inc. (SSCI) as part of the National Recreation and Park Association Operation TLC Volunteer Management Program.

Middle School Sports Programs

The Middle School Sports Programs are run in partnership with Malibu High School. The Parks and Recreation Department offers feeder programs for: Flag Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Basketball, Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Swimming, and Water Polo. The Middle School Sports Handbook outlines the programs offered each season, along with contact information, philosophies, and seasonal information.
