The Malibu Community Pool will be closed. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, September 29.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE CHANGE: Once high school aquatic sports begin, the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday programming will be pushed back by two (2) hours.
The City anticipates this schedule change to happen by September 8. For example, on Mondays, Lap Swim will then be 6:00-6:45 PM, 7:00-7:45 PM, and 8:00-8:45 PM.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Malibu Community Pool located at Malibu High School is open with limited hours and capacity. All Lap Swim use is by reservation only at MalibuCity.org/Register, no drop-ins accepted.
All Los Angeles County physical distancing requirements and health guidelines must be followed. Participants are required to wear masks at all times when not in the water. Health Certification Questionnaires and temperature checks will be required for all participants entering the facility. Please review the Safety Guidelines below.
All pool use for Fall 2020 is by reservation only. No drop-ins will be accepted. Lanes for lap swimmers will be allocated as one (1) swimmer per lane or two (2) swimmers of the same household. Participants will be assigned a lane for a 45-minute lap swim. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your start time to allow for entry processing. Participants must promptly exit the facility at the 45-minute mark to allow for physical distancing and cleaning procedures before the next lap swim group arrives.

Pool Facility Use Fees will be paid in person upon arrival.

MALIBU SEAWOLVES SWIM TEAM
The City partners with the Malibu Aquatics Foundation and Malibu Seawolves Swim Team to offer a youth swim program in Malibu for Ages 5-18. New participants to the program need to be evaluated by the director to ensure proper placement. Malibu Seawolves accepts new team members anytime during the quarter, and fees are pro-rated according to start date. For a detailed schedule or questions, visit the Seawolves website.

Participants are required to wear their masks at all times when not in the water. Temperature checks will be required for all participants, instructors, volunteers, and parent/guardians when entering the facility. Registrations will be conducted online at MalibuCity.org/Register.

Junior Guard Program
A Junior Guard Program will be offered annually February-April for participants who have not participated in Junior Lifeguards and are looking to pass the swim test for enrollment. Swimmers will be assigned to a Malibu Seawolves Swim Group based on their ability and will have the opportunity to swim 5-6 days per week to work on their freestyle stroke.
A Swim Conditioning Program will be offered in the Spring for athletes who will not be competing in swim meets. Athletes will be placed in a Malibu Seawolves swim group (Blue or Green) and have the opportunity to train up to three days per week. Participants must exceed the graduating swim skill level requirements from the Sealions group to be eligible. Placement will be determined by an evaluation with a Malibu Aquatics Foundation Coach. USA Swimming membership required.
The Malibu Aquatics Foundation offers the Masters Program, a swimming program for Ages 18+ designed for all skill levels of swimmers who want to use swimming as a great way to get or stay in shape. Members of the community can join workouts to prepare for fitness events, triathlons, or for general conditioning.

Dive into aqua aerobics to build cardiovascular fitness and strength. Aqua aerobics is a blend of cardio fitness and resistance training that incorporates equipment, such as buoyant water weights. Due to the low-impact format, aqua aerobics is suitable for all ages and fitness abilities.
The next session of Aqua Aerobics is scheduled to resume in Spring 2020.
