COVID-19 UPDATES FOR CITY PARKS
PHYSICAL DISTANCING AT MALIBU PARKS
(May 29, 2020) In an effort to encourage safe park visitation practices during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the City recently implemented physical distancing circles at Malibu Bluffs Park. The circles will also be implemented at Trancas Canyon Park soon.
LIMITED REOPENING OF CITY PARKS
Beginning at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 15, the City of Malibu will reopen the following parks to the public with physical distancing requirements and safety guidelines:
- Malibu Bluffs Park
- Legacy Park
- Las Flores Creek Park
- Trancas Canyon Park and Dog Park
- Malibu Equestrian Park
Playgrounds, gathering areas, athletic fields, athletic facilities, and indoor facilities remain closed.
Please make sure to plan your visit accordingly and remember to pack face coverings, hand sanitizer, water and sunscreen. Portable restrooms are available at Malibu Bluffs Park and Trancas Canyon Park ONLY.
Patrons are asked to adhere to the following safety guidelines and physical distancing requirements when utilizing parks:
- Do not enter the park if you are feeling sick or have a fever
- Maintain physical distancing of at least six feet at all times
- The use of face coverings is strongly recommended
- Do not gather in groups of 10 or more
- No group or team athletics are permitted
- Head outdoors with members of your household only
