Street Maintenance Project - FY 2014-2015
The 2014-2015 phase of the City's five-year Pavement Management Plan included street maintenance and safety improvements on Corral Cyn Rd, Latigo Cyn Rd, Rambla Vista Rd, and Zumirez Dr.

Council Chambers Broadcast Updates
Completed in 2014, upgraded camera, video and lighting systems improved the quality of internet and TV screening of meetings and events in the Council Chambers/Civic Theater.

PCH/Big Rock Drive Intersection Improvements
In 2014, the installation of a left turn signal improved safety for motorists turning onto Big Rock Dr from PCH.

PCH & Kanan Dume Intersection
Completed in 2014, this project realigned, extended, and upgraded the truck arrester bed to current standards, improving safety on Kanan and at the busy intersection with PCH.

Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Corral Canyon Traffic Signal

Completed in 2008, this project combined improved safety and environmental features with an aesthetically pleasing streetscape for the Civic Center's main arterial street.

Solstice Creek Bridge Replacement Project
Completed in 2008, this City project demolished and replaced the old bridge to remove barriers and improve the migration of steelhead trout in the Solstice Canyon Creek Watershed.

Civic Center Stormwater Treatment Facility
The need to reduce the amount of bacteriological contamination entering Malibu Lagoon and Surfrider Beach and to reduce the number of beach postings and closures was addressed by the City of Malibu through the Civic Center Stormwater Treatment Facility Project.

PCH Speed Advisory Signs
In 2007, the City installed six solar-powered speed advisory signs on PCH by Tuna Canyon Rd, Puerco Canyon Rd, Heathercliff Rd, Zuma Beach, Malibu Cove Colony Dr, and between Las Flores and Big Rock.

Safe Routes to School - Point Dume
Completed in 2006, the City's second SR2S project created a safe, ADA-compliant, environment-friendly walkway for students walking to Point Dume Marine Science Elementary School.

Winter Canyon Traffic Signal
In 2006, the City installed a new traffic signal to reduce traffic speeds on Civic Center Way and improve safety for students of Webster Elementary School and Our Lady of Malibu School.

Zumirez Drive Realignment Project
Completed in 2005, the alignment of the north and south segments of Zumirez Dr at PCH and a new traffic signal provided safe access for local residents and improved safety for all motorists.

Safe Routes to School - Morning View Drive
Completed in 2003, this project provided a safe walkway for students from PCH to Malibu High School & Middle School, and Juan Cabrillo Elementary School.
