BACKGROUND
Community organizations and individuals may donate funds or equipment to the City of Malibu to support park enhancements and beautification projects. The City welcomes contributions such as native plants, trees, and approved memorial items for installation in City parks and facilities. On February 9, 2026, Council adopted the Park Enhancement and Donation Guidelines (linked below).

application Process
Submitted applications will be reviewed by the Community Services Director to determine whether the donation meets the Guideline criteria and whether there is a demonstrated need for the proposed item. After the initial review, eligible applications will be forwarded to the Parks and Recreation Commission for annual consideration and a recommendation for approval.
