Field Conditions
This page features the latest information on field closures due to weather conditions or maintenance. Fields will remain open until otherwise noted on the website. Conditions will be updated by 12 PM, Monday through Friday, and by 8 AM. Saturday and Sunday, as conditions warrant. If there is a closure, the date in the tables below will issue the date(s) of the closure.
Please note that although fields may be open, they may be reserved at times by local sports organizations or private parties. Please contact Recreation Manager Chris Orosz at 310-456-2489 ext. 337 for availability.

Scheduled Field Maintenance
Please note: Malibu Bluffs Park Multipurpose Field will be closed for maintenance from July 6, 2026, to August 17, 2026
Please note: Trancas Canyon Park Multipurpose Field will be closed for maintenance from March 30, 2026, to May 11, 2026
Field Blackout Dates:
- All fields are closed at Malibu Bluffs Park on March 27 through the 29 due to the 25th Annual Chumash Day Powwow and Intertribal Gathering.
- The Multipurpose Field at Malibu Bluffs Park will be closed from Monday, March 23, through March 30 due to event setup.
- All fields closed at Malibu Bluffs Park on May 3 due to the Tiny Tot Olympics Event.
