POST-FIRE STORM PREPARATION
A strong rain storm is forecast for Malibu this Friday night, January 11, into Saturday, and a series of storms is expected Monday through Thursday, January 14-17. Residents are urged to prepare for potential flooding, mudslides, power outages, dangerous road conditions and possible evacuations. FREE CRISIS COUNSELING
Survivors who may be stressed, anxious or depressed following the wildfires can receive free Disaster Crisis Counseling by phone or text.
MEET THE MAYOR
Thursday, Jan. 17, 10:00 AM at Malibu City Hall
Jefferson “Zuma Jay” Wagner, who was sworn in as Mayor on December 10, 2018, started “Meet the Mayor,” an ongoing series of open office hours together with City Manager Reva Feldman, to offer community members the chance to meet City leadership face-to-face, ask questions, voice concerns, discuss ideas and get information. The event is open to all to attend, and any topics are open for discussion. The Mayor asks only that a civil, constructive discourse be maintained.
FEMA APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED
The deadline for people and businesses impacted by the Woolsey Fire to apply for disaster assistance from FEMA, CA Supplemental Grants and the Small Business Administration (SBA) has been extended to Jan. 31. The first step for all three programs is registering with FEMA by January 31. To apply online or for more information, visit https://www.disasterassistance.gov or call 800-621-3662.

CHANGE IN DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER (DRC) SERVICES AND SCHEDULED DRC CLOSURE
The DRC is scheduled to close on Friday, January 18, 2019.
Friday, January 11, 2019, is the last day that multiple agencies will be present at the Malibu DRC, including all Los Angeles County departments (with the exception of Public Works), all state agencies, and the City of Malibu. City staff from the Building & Safety, Environmental Sustainability, and Planning Departments will continue to be available at City Hall to help community members with recovery needs.
DRC hours in Malibu and Agoura Hills: Monday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, closed holidays and Sundays. The Malibu DRC is located in the former Malibu Courthouse (23555 Civic Center Way).
The Agoura Hills DRC is located at the Hilton Foundation Building (30440 Agoura Road, Agoura).
