PCH/ Las Flores and Rambla Pacifico Intersection Improvements Project

The City of Malibu is in the preliminary design stages of an upcoming safety improvement project, the Pacific Coast Highway Las Flores and Rambla Pacifico Project, located at the intersections of Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and Las Flores as well as the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and Ramla Pacifco. This project is anticipated to complete the design stage in 2026 and begin construction in 2027.

Background 

The PCH Las Flores and Rambla Pacifico Intersection Improvements Project was identified in the 2015 PCH Safety Study and consists of making various safety and efficiency improvements at the intersections of PCH and Las Flores and Rambla Pacifico.

Purpose

The overall objective of this project is to improve the safety and operations of the highway by reconfiguring the intersections of Las Flores and Rambla Pacifico along Pacific Coast Highway, providing improved traffic flow, speed control, and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists.

Proposed Scope of Work

This project consists of the reconfiguration of the traffic signals and lanes at the intersections of PCH and Las Flores, and Rambla Pacifico, in both directions (east and west). The project will also include new traffic striping and signage, as well as pedestrian and bicycle improvements.
