Parking Enforcement

On July 3, 2024, the City of Malibu contracted with the LAZ Parking Enforcement Team and began operations to provide additional support to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Volunteers on Patrol during the 4th of July holiday weekend.

The team has since been enforcing parking violations to the Malibu Municipal Code, Los Angeles County Code of Ordinances, and the California Vehicle Code in areas where enforcement is most needed (e.g., Point Dume, Winding Way, Central Malibu, etc.) as well as throughout the City to ensure public safety concerns are kept to a minimum.

Since the start of their operations, the LAZ Parking enforcement team has issued citations for a variety of violations, including obstruction of roadways, obeying parking signs, blocking fire hydrants, oversized vehicle ordinance, unauthorized handicap parking, and more.
