The City of Malibu Cultural Arts Commission will host the Exhibition Opening and second installation of Radical Beauty, Malibu Rising on September 20, 2019. The exhibition is a community-wide collaboration that will feature artwork related to the Woolsey Fire. Reflecting on a moment of healing and recovery, the community will come together to see how artists have interpreted the devastation that struck the Malibu community while uncovering the beauty in togetherness, nature and resiliency.
The exhibition will feature artwork of all mediums including, photography, paint, drawing, collage, free standing art, short films/videos and written work.
The second installation of Radical Beauty, Malibu Rising will be on display from September 23 through December 2019. The exhibit is free and open to all to view at City Hall Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
