[ARCHIVED] Mandatory Evacuation For All of City of Malibu and Areas South of 101 Fwy, to Ventura County Line

Emergency Information

UPDATE - (10:25 AM) MANDATORY evacuation is now in effect for all of the City of Malibu, and the areas south of the 101 Fwy, and to the Ventura County line, and southward to the ocean. Residents should use PCH to evacuate and avoid canyon roads.

The Woolsey Fire has jumped the 101 Fwy at Liberty Cyn Rd and Chesebro Rd. 101 Fwy is closed in both directions from Las Virgenes to Reyes Adobe.

Large animals can be evacuated to the Zuma Beach parking lot in Malibu, and to Hansen Dam Equestrian Center (11127 Orcas Ave., Lake View Terrace CA 91342).

American Red Cross has notified the City that the nearest evacuation center for residents of Malibu will be at Palisades High School, located at 15777 Bowdoin St, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.

MANDATORY evacuations are already in effect north of the 101 Fwy from Valley Vista to Reyes Adobe (areas of Agoura Hills, Calabasas and Westlake Village).

There are power outages in the Tuna Canyon and Civic Center area of Malibu. Numerous traffic signals are out or intermittent on PCH from Topanga Canyon to John Tyler. Approach all intersections with caution. Visit for power outage information.
