The City of Malibu is hosting a meeting on October 25 with property owners within the Phase 2 portion of the Malibu Civic Center septic system prohibition area to begin a dialogue about the development of the Phase 2 portion of the Civic Center Water Treatment Facility (CCWTF). The City completed the CCWTF Phase 1 on October 5, 2018. The project includes a new wastewater treatment plant, a pipeline collection system, a recycled water system, and an injection well system able to treat up to 200,000 gallons per day and provide up to 70 million gallons of recycled water per year for park and landscape irrigation.
