The Santa Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) is holding a public meeting about the proposed realignment of elementary schools in Malibu tonight, Tuesday, October 9 at 7:00 PM at Point Dume Elementary School. The proposal would involve combining the Juan Cabrillo and Point Dume student bodies. SMMUSD will accept written comments until October 18 at 5:00 PM. According to SMMUSD, the meeting is to allow the public to ask questions about the short- and long-term plans for the Point Dume campus as it relates to the Malibu schools alignment. The District will accept written comments during a public review period that ends on October 18, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
