The City of Malibu put out a Request for Proposals (RFP) to continue the operation of the City's Dial-A-Ride transportation program for seniors. The program was discontinued recently when the service provider ceased operation. The services is being provided on an interim basis while the City seeks a permanent contracted operator. Dial-A-Ride provides a valuable, low-cost transit service to help Malibu residents 60 and older get to and from doctor appointments, grocery stores, the Senior Center and certain healthcare destinations outside the City. The fare is only $1, $2 or $4. The deadline to apply is 4:00 PM, Thursday, September 6.
