Chumash Day is coming up Saturday and Sunday April 14 and 15, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Bluffs Park. Join us for this 20th Annual Powwow and Inter-Tribal Gathering to celebrate Native American heritage and the original settlers of Malibu. Experience Native American culture, dance, music, art, food during two days of ceremonies. Hundreds of tribes will participate. This event is not a contest Powwow.
ADMISSION
The Powwow is open to all ages. Admission is free.
PARKING
There is no public parking onsite at Bluffs Park. Parking and shuttle service to and from the event will be available at the corner of Webb Way and Civic Center Way.
Handicap parking spaces are very limited onsite. A handicap-accessible shuttle that can accommodate wheelchairs will be available at the offsite parking lot at Webb Way and Civic Center Way. For assistance or additional information prior to the event, call 310-456-2489 ext. 239.
WEATHER
The Powwow will occur rain or shine. In the event of a serious downpour or other hazardous weather condition, such as lightning and thunder, the event may be stopped for a period of time or canceled. Cancellations will be reported at 310-317-1364.
