Share your feedback through the online questionnaire by Monday, September 8
The City of Malibu is moving forward with Phase 3 of the Community Lands program, which focuses on advancing plans for Parcel C at Cross Creek Ranch. The Malibu Arts Commission is leading efforts to explore the concept and design of a Performing Arts Center, and community feedback is a critical part of the process. The City welcomes your input on what types of programs and offerings you would like to see at the proposed facility. Please submit your feedback through the online questionnaire by September 8. See project renderings here.

BACKGROUND
The City of Malibu owns five community lands totaling more than 61 acres. To ensure these lands are developed in alignment with community priorities, the City conducted an extensive public outreach program from March through September 2024. Based on community input, the Malibu City Council directed staff to proceed with a phased approach for development, including:

  • Heathercliff and Chili Cook-Off Lots: Exploring options for new soccer, baseball, and softball fields, as well as a multigenerational community center with a pool, gymnasium, senior center, and expanded library services.
  • Parcel C at Cross Creek Ranch (formerly La Paz Lot): Development of conceptual renderings for a potential Performing Arts Center in collaboration with the property developers.
  • Triangle and Trancas Lots: No direction was set at this time.
