UPDATE: 1/8, 2025 12:15 AM -
Attention Malibu Residents,
The Palisades Fire remains uncontained and is being driven by extreme Santa Ana winds, creating a rapidly evolving and dangerous situation. While your area may not be currently under evacuation orders, we urge all residents to be prepared to evacuate should conditions worsen. If you require additional time to evacuate, or if you have pets or livestock, consider making preparations to leave now.
What You Should Do Now:
Prepare to Evacuate: Gather your family, pets, essential belongings, and evacuation supplies.
Plan Ahead: Familiarize yourself with evacuation routes, and consider relocating northwest toward Oxnard if you have a safe location to go to outside of Malibu. Acting early can help avoid potential congestion or delays if evacuation orders become necessary.
This is a critical time to prepare for the unpredictable and rapidly changing nature of the fire.
