Malibu Library Speaker Series Local Authors Showcase - October 27, 7PM at the Library

MALIBU LIBRARY SPEAKER SERIES - SHOWCASE: LOCAL AUTHOR SERIES, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27, 7:00 PM AT MALIBU LIBRARY

RSVP now for the Malibu Library Speaker Series "Showcase: Local Author Series" on Thursday, October 27, 7:00 PM at the Malibu Library. The free event is part of the Malibu Library Speaker Series, a program of LA County Library and the City of Malibu. The special series features published authors who live and write in Malibu. Each free event at the Malibu Library features two to four local authors participating in a panel discussion about their work and a reception with a book signing. The program was developed in response to community feedback received during the Malibu Library Needs Assessment in 2018.

Authors featured in the October 27, 2022 Local Authors Series: 

  • Ann Stalcup, who has authored 18 children’s books and will discuss her work Leo Politi: Artist of the Angels
  • Carla McCloskey, who will discuss her two books Grandma Told Me So—Lessons in Life and Love and Living in an Alien Body—Surviving Stroke
  • Susan Goldman Rubin, the author of many biographies for young people who will discuss many pieces of her work, including Give us the Vote! Over 200 Years of Fighting for the Ballot
