MALIBU LIBRARY TO BEGIN IN-PERSON SERVICES on APRIL 19

The LA County Library will open 30 of its 85 libraries, including the Malibu Library, for select in-person services beginning April 19, 2021. With Los Angeles County entering the Orange Tier of the State of California's Blueprint for a Safer Economy, libraries have been cleared to safely reopen at 50% capacity. In preparation for reopening its doors to the public, LA County Library is working diligently to ensure safety protocols and preventative measures are in place.

LA County Library's reopening plan prioritizes library openings based on geographic location, building availability and the ability to accommodate physical distance guidelines and Public Health Department protocols.

The in-person services offered will include:

  • Browsing of materials and check-outs
  • Use of public computers (up to one hour per customer)
  • Printing
  • Holds pick-up
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Sidewalk Service and Bookdrops

Outdoor programming with limited capacity will begin in early summer 2021 at select libraries, with events posted at https://lacountylibrary.org/library-calendar.
