Los Angeles County Department of Public Health - Revised COVID-19 Health Officer Order on private gatherings
On October 14, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a Revised Health Officer Order to more closely align with the State's revised order of October 9 that allows small, private gatherings provided certain protocols are met:
o Gathering of individuals from no more than three households
o Must be held outdoors
o Should be short duration (two hours or less)
o All attendees must wear face coverings when not eating or drinking
o Seating should allow for physical distancing between households
o No shared food - provide only in in single, separate servings
o Future gatherings should only include members of the same three households
The Revised Order does not apply to institutional or commercial housing, such as hotels, dorms, sororities, fraternities, etc., and large public events or large gatherings are still prohibited by the County order, even if held outdoors.
Anyone who has been exposed or was likely to have been exposed (e.g., attended other public gatherings, celebrations, or protests), is experiencing symptoms, or is at high risk for COVID-19, should not attend these gatherings.
