Los Angeles County has been an instrumental partner in supporting local businesses since the fire. The LA County Department of Economic Opportunity is launching the Shop Local LA County Gift Card Program to encourage residents to support fire-impacted small businesses across the region. To help support Malibu local businesses, just follow these easy steps.
Step 1. Buy & Receive: Purchase your Shop Local LA County Card online. You'll receive a digital card via email or print for hand delivery—no physical card is mailed. Plus, Get one free Bonus Card — On Us.
Step 2. Redeem at Checkout: At any participating business, provide your 16-digit card code to the cashier. The merchant processes the virtual MasterCard via tap-to-pay or manual entry. Simple!
Step 3. Shop Local: Use your card at any participating LA County business—restaurants, retailers, shops, and entertainment. If your purchase is less than the card balance, the remaining value stays on your card for future visits!
- Digital only: No physical card will be mailed
- No cash access: Cannot be reloaded or exchanged for cash
- Split payments OK: Pay difference with another payment method
- No third-party delivery: Cannot use with Grubhub, DoorDash, etc.
