Community Listening Session on Alerts and Evacuations During the Palisades Fire for LA County After-Action Report, april 29 at malibu library
The LA County Board of Supervisors, in a motion led by Supervisor Lindsey Horvath (SD3) and Supervisor Kathryn Barger (SD5), recently commissioned an independent after-action review of alerts and evacuations for the recent fires. This effort is being led by McChrystal Group, a third-party consultant. As part of its independent after-action assessment, community members are invited to share their input and experiences with emergency alert and evacuation processes during the Palisades Fire. The goal of the community listening sessions, one in Santa Monica, one in Topanga Canyon, and one at the Malibu Library, is to capture a wide variety of experiences and feedback to better understand the public's experience with emergency alert and preparedness for wildfires.
