On Friday, May 10, Mayor Steve Uhring delivered the State of the City address, reflecting on the City's highlights, challenges, and achievements from the past year and looking toward the year ahead. The event, hosted by the Malibu – Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce, took place at the new Santa Monica College (SMC) Malibu Campus. Along with Mayor Uhring, speakers included Santa Monica College Associate Dean Alice Meyering; CA Senator Ben Allen; Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin; Sophia Soudani, representative of LA County Supervisor and Board Chair Lindsey Horvath; Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Commanding Officer Captain Jennifer Seetoo, Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board Member Stacy Rouse. Malibu’s City Manager Steve McClary rounded out the morning by introducing the 2024 State of the City video. Click here to watch the video.
