The City of Malibu Arts Commission invites all of Malibu to come enjoy the City’s current public art exhibition in the Malibu City Gallery, “On a Sunday Afternoon,” featuring stunning photos of the lowrider culture in Los Angeles by renowned photographer Pep Williams. 

“On a Sunday Afternoon” features Williams’ images of the world’s most famous lowrider, Gypsy Rose, a 1964 Chevrolet Impala, as well as other well-known lowrider cars. 

Pep Williams is a fine art photographer, video director, and third generation DogTown skateboarder from South Central Los Angeles. He has traveled around the world photographing spreads for numerous magazines. He has also been featured in magazines in countries such as Brazil, Germany, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, and the United States.

Meet the artist and hear discussion about his work and enjoy complimentary food and beverages. The opening reception takes place on Sunday, May 19, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at Malibu City Hall, located at 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, Malibu. RSVPs are not required for this free event. 

The exhibition will be on display May 20 through June 28, and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. No tickets or RSVPs are needed to visit the gallery.
