Council Chambers Broadcast Updates
Project Overview

The project improved the lighting, cameras, and video controls in the Council Chambers / Civic Theater to improve the video quality of City Council meetings, other public meetings, and events for public viewing on the internet and/or cable television. Upgrades also improved the overall production quality of the theater for public use.

Improvements consist of upgrading the broadcast video equipment to support digital high definition (HD), replacing existing video camera bodies, and upgrading the broadcast system to include remote control, switcher and scheduling software installation of a new camera with HD and standard definition outputs. Additionally, new equipment was installed to improve theatrical and TV production lighting system control.

The project was completed in November 2014.

This project was funded through the City’s General Fund.
