[ARCHIVED] Malibu City Council to Hold Virtual Council Meeting on Monday, April 13, 6:30 PM

The Malibu City Council will hold a virtual City Council meeting on Monday, April 13, 6:30 PM using video conferencing. The agenda and staff report will be posted in advance of the meeting on the Agenda Center.

 “Even during this global and local crisis, as we all stay safe at home, please know that the City continues to work for you,” said Mayor Karen Farrer. “I hope everyone can join us for the virtual City Council meeting. Please stay safe and healthy, and take care of each other.”

The meeting will not have a physical location in order to reduce the risk of spreading novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-29-20 and the County of Los Angeles Public Health Officer’s Safer at Home Order (revised March 21, 2020). This is meant to slow the spread of coronavirus and protect our seniors and vulnerable people.

 The meeting will be held as a group video meeting using Zoom and there will be opportunity to watch live video of the meeting and make public comment. All votes taken during this virtual meeting will be by roll call vote, and the vote will be publicly reported.


HOW TO VIEW THE MEETING

The public can watch the meeting on live streaming video on the City’s YouTube Channel and www.MalibuCity.org/VirtualMeeting.

 

HOW TO MAKE PUBLIC COMMENT DURING THE MEETING

Written comments may be submitted to the City Council by email to CityCouncil@malibucity.org before the meeting begins. The public may also speak during the meeting by visiting www.MalibuCity.org/VirtualMeeting and clicking “Sign up to Speak.” Speakers will have to sign in to the Zoom meeting and be present in the meeting during the item they would like to speak on. Then click the microphone to the right of the meeting and follow the prompts.
