Give Your Input on Possible Locations for L.A. County's New Vote Centers

Vote Centers

In 2020, the County of Los Angeles will transition from traditional polling places, which bind a voter to a single, in-person voting location on Election Day only, to Vote Centers, which will allow voters to cast a ballot at any vote center location in the County over an 11-day period. The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) is now seeking input from the community on where the County should consider placing Vote Centers for the 2020 election cycle.

The Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP) was developed by the RR/CC in 2009 to address an aging voting system. As part of VSAP, the Vote Center Placement Project (VCPP) was started with the mission to identify and place accessible and convenient Vote Center locations throughout Los Angeles County that will increase voter engagement by offering greater convenience, accessibility and time for voters to participate in elections.

COMMUNITY INPUT

The community is invited to participate in this effort by suggesting locations where they believe vote centers can and should be placed by entering suggested locations using the VCPP interactive map. The public will also have opportunities in the future to participate at community meetings that will be scheduled at various locations throughout the County.
