Join Malibu Poet Laureate Ann Buxie at Caffeinated Verse. The program will include a featured reader, Carol Ciliberti Smith.

Carol Ciliberti Smith was raised in Western Montana, on the edge of the Rattlesnake Wilderness. There she learned to love nature and the outdoors, animals of all kinds, literature and poetry. At the age of 18 she followed her passion for skiing to Alta Utah, where she skied for nearly 20 years, studied Meteorology, and worked for the Utah Avalanche Center. In 2002 she moved to the North Coast of California to work for the National Weather Service, and in the process learned how to surf in the big, icy ocean of the northern clime. At that time she began writing poetry, inspired by the ocean and life changes to put words and feelings onto paper. Finally, pursuing love again, she moved to Southern California in 2011. In this warmer environment, she began writing in earnest as she joined the writing communities of Ventura, Thousand Oaks, and Malibu. She now resides with her husband and four rescued cattle dogs, within sight of the Pacific Ocean.

Mrs. Buxie will host additional poetry programs monthly at 11:00 AM.
