Caffeinated Verse, Open Mic Poetry
Saturday, February 13, 2021
Join Malibu Poet Laureate Dr. John Struloeff at Caffeinated Verse. Love and Relationships is the theme that will feature former Malibu Poet Laureate Ricardo Means Ybarra.
I'm very proud of two books - wonderful collaborations. "Radical Beauty, Malibu after the Fire": art, photography, poetry from survivors of the Woolsey Fire. And "Glue," the 2020 student anthology, which came out in spite of the pandemic.
I'm the luck one. Fortunate tow work with and know the artists, poets, teachers and students of this time, this incredible era of talent, of grace.

Following the reading by Mr. Ybarra, there will be an open-mic for poets to share their work with the Malibu community.
An RSVP is required by calling 310-456-2489, ext. 349 or email CulturalArts@malibucity.org or complete the online form. Registered participants will receive an email with the Zoom link by the Friday before the program.
Dr. Struloeff will host an additional poetry program next month beginning at 11:00 AM.
