Fire Safe Council Workshop

Thursday, September 19, 2019

One of a series of events and activities scheduled in September for National Preparedness Month 2019

The City will host a workshop for residents on how to form a Fire Safe Council. Fire Safe Councils are grassroots, community-led organizations that mobilize residents to protect their homes, communities and environments from catastrophic wildfire. The workshop will provide information about the benefits and the process of forming a Fire Safe Council. Assisting in the workshop will be experienced Fire Safe Council members and Los Angeles County Fire Department Assistant Chief J. Lopez, who is also a California Fire Safe Council Board Member.
