Share your thoughts with the Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission about the Sheriff's Department's response to the Woolsey Fire, homelessness, and other public safety issues.
On November 1, 2016, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors formed the nine-member Civilian Oversight Commission to facilitate public transparency and accountability with respect to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Commission provides ongoing review, analysis, and oversight of the Sheriff's Department’s policies, practices, and procedures in order to build bridges between the department and the public. The Commission welcomes community involvement and provides for opportunities for robust public engagement.
For more information, visit the Commission website at coc.lacounty.gov.
The Civilian Oversight Commission will hold a Town Hall at Malibu City Hall to receive feedback from the Malibu community regarding the Sheriff's Department's activities in the City, including response to the Woolsey Fire, homelessness, and other public safety issues of importance to Malibu residents.
Also available, beginning at 9:30 AM, will be resource booths for attendees including mental and public health resources, emergency services, victim services, and more.
