Rebuilding Resilience after Fires: Lessons Learned from Australia

Tuesday, April 9, 2019

Tree People & the City of Malibu present, “Rebuilding Resilience after Fires: Lessons Learned from Australia”. First in the Resilient Malibu Workshop Series, this presentation is geared for residents who want to learn about the most innovative Best Practices aimed to increase fire-resilience for homes in high fire-risk areas. Australian Emergency Management experts will share constructive lessons learned from the “Black Saturday Bushfires” of 2009, and present on practicable and applicable modifications in building design and materials to increase fire safety and resiliency for residents who are embarking on the post-fire rebuilding process. This workshop will also include an interactive Q&A session. For more information and offerings visit www.MalibuCity.org/ResiliencyPrograms
