"The New Lineup" - Free Panel Discussion on Surfing, Sea Level Rise and Access
This free event touches on challenges to the coast and the future of surfing with exhibition curator Amy Yao, artist Alexandra Cassaniti, surfer and author Kevin O’Sullivan, Brown Girl Surf artist Christine Blanco, Surfrider Foundation West LA/Malibu Co-Chair and City of Santa Monica Sustainable Building Manager Joel Cesare, moderator Jon Christensen, a professor at the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability and a founder of the Laboratory for Environmental Narrative Strategies at UCLA.

7:00 PM: Discussion panel with a question and answer session
The panel discussion is part of the “Sea Sick in Paradise” group art exhibition co-sponsored by the City of Malibu and the Cultural Arts Commission. The exhibition is on display through September 30 at DEPART Foundation’s Malibu Village gallery at 3822 Cross Creek Road.
