DEPT OF MENTAL HEALTH HAS TIPS FOR COPING WITH LOSS
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the County Department of Mental Health offers support and resources for people who are struggling with the sudden loss of a family member, friend or colleague during the #coronavirus (#COVID19) pandemic. The death of a loved one is always difficult, but it is likely to be worsened by the pandemic’s additional trauma and stress, fear and anxiety, economic hardship, and the challenge of coming together for mutual support and mourning for funerals and commemorations with physical distancing restrictions in place. The guide from the Department of Mental Health offers tips on coping, how to talk with children about death and loss, and more. https://www.malibucity.org/DocumentCenter/View/26361/GuidanceCopingWithLoss_Corona_LACounty_5122020.
