UPDATE 4/27, 2PM - Changes to City COVID-19 messaging. Council meeting tonight. Small biz funding

UPDATE 4/27, 2:00 PM – City to send COVID-19 messages once a day effective today. City Council virtual meeting tonight, 6:30 PM. Applications reopened for Federal Paycheck Protection Program for small businesses.

Malibu City Hall is closed. However, essential City staff, including the Emergency Operations Team, are working. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was activated on March 13 and is operating 7 days a week. Staff is answering the City’s main phone line (310-456-2489) Monday through Friday, and residents can also email questions to info@malibucity.org. Thank you for your patience – we will respond as quickly as possible.

CHANGES IN CITY COVID-19 MESSAGING BEGINNING MONDAY, APRIL 27
The City is committed to providing timely, important information to ensure the health and safety of the Malibu community, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As new information is less frequent and readily available through other resources, it is no longer necessary to send twice-daily emergency messages. Therefore, effective today, updates will be sent once a day at 2:00 PM through the City’s e-notification system. If conditions change and there is a need to message information out to the community other than at the set 2pm time, the City will do so.

Information will continue to be updated on the City’s website at www.MalibuCity.org/Coronavirus, and through the City’s social media network.

CITY COUNCIL VIRTUAL MEETING TONIGHT, 6:30 PM
The Malibu City Council will hold a virtual Regular meeting using Zoom on Monday, April 27, 6:30 PM. The agenda for meeting is posted in the Agenda Center on the City website at https://www.malibucity.org/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/_04272020-1504?html=true.
