Intermittent lane closures - PCH, Guernsey Ave to Trancas Creek Bridge - 11/2 - 12/31/20 #malibu
There will be intermittent lane closures on PCH, from Guernsey Ave to the northern limits of the Trancas Creek bridge, for a LA County Waterworks project to relocate a water line near the bridge.
Anticipated Construction Dates
Start Dates: November 2, 2020
End Dates: December 31, 2020
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 7 days a week
No work will be conducted on holidays.
When traffic control is required, the No. 2 lane and shoulder heading northwest on PCH from Guernsey Ave to the northern limits of the Trancas Creek bridge (near the first driveway to the shopping center just north of the bridge), will be closed.
Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 29, Malibu is collaborating with Caltrans to relocate the waterline along the inland side of the Trancas Creek bridge to enhance public health by improving fire safety and drinking water flow reliability.
This is necessary to tie in the temporary water line at the two interconnections north and south of the bridge and remove the existing waterline off the inland side of the Trancas Creek bridge.
Crews will be working in the open field areas and shoulder located along the inland side of the Trancas Creek Bridge. Minimal traffic impacts on PCH are expected, but intermittent lane closures on PCH may be necessary. There will be no disruption to water service for Malibu residents.
