Year of the Butterfly

On July 23, 2018, the City of Malibu joined nearly 400 other cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico in signing the Mayor’s Monarch Pledge, committing the City to enact policies and practices that protect the iconic Monarch butterfly, and declared July 23, 2018 to July 24, 2019 as the Year of the Butterfly.

While working with community partners, the City's Community Services Department created a series of programs and events to inspire the community to help save this endangered, beautiful, and enchanting flying insect.

All events are free to attend, please call (310)456-2489 ext 239 to RSVP
