The City offers a Dial-a-Ride program to residents living in Malibu who are 60 years of age or older. This service was established to help the senior population with transportation to doctor appointments, markets, or the Senior Center, as well as other destinations within the city limits. The cab fare is $2 each way within the city limits, or $1 each way to the Senior Center.
Dial-a-Ride will take seniors to Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital and St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica; Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood; Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills; and various medical offices along Wilshire Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd. Trips to any of these locations cost $4 each way. Those are the only locations outside the city limits serviced by Malibu Dial-a-Ride.
Any eligible resident who wants to use the Dial-a-Ride program must first fill out a program application, then bring the completed application and valid photo identification (DMV identification card or drivers license) to the Malibu Senior Center, located inside Malibu City Hall at 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd (lower level). Additional information is available in the Dial-a-Ride brochure.
