Four Fireworks Permits Issued for 4th of July
(Updated 06/13/2012) The Los Angeles County Fire Department has issued four permits for fireworks displays on Wednesday, July 4, beginning at approximately 9:00 p.m. The fireworks will be launched from offshore barges adjacent to the the following areas of Malibu:
- 21500 block of PCH
- 22300 block of PCH
- 27900 block of PCH
- Malibu Colony Drive
If additional permits are issued for 4th of July fireworks displays, this notice will be updated with those locations.
The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control advises pet owners that the sound of fireworks may cause a pet to panic and run away, sometimes so far and so fast it can't find its way home. Be sure your pet is wearing a license tags and confine pets inside the house or some other cool, safe place throughout the holiday. Remember, fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited within the Malibu City limits.
