Power Restored in Western Malibu - Bird in Line Determined to Be Cause of Outage

(Updated January 16, 2013, 4:00 p.m.) Southern California Edison advises that power was completely restored to the affected area of Western Malibu as of 1:21 pm today.
It was determined that the cause of the outage was a bird in a line at Heathercliff.
(Wednesday, January 16, 2013) Southern California Edison has notified the City that the power inpart of western Malibu went out at approximately 12:55 pm on this afternoon. Edison personnel are working to correct the problem and determine the cause of the outage.
Initial reports are that about 2,000 customers in the area between Latigo Canyon and Heathercliff have been affected.
