Draft Coastal Engineering Report Guidelines - Comments Due Friday, December 7
City Coastal Engineering staff has prepared the draft Coastal Engineering Report Guidelines for Malibu. The guidelines are intended to assist applicants and coastal engineering consultants with submittals to the City, including comprehensive coastal engineering reports to support coastal development projects. Comprehensive coastal engineering reports present sufficient data and analyses to comply with the standards of practice and minimum requirements of the City's Local Coastal Program/Local Implementation Plan and Building Code.
Architects, engineers, consultants and City staff involved in coastal development may review the guidelines on the City's website (link below). Comments and revisions may be submitted by email to Todd Curtis at TCurtis@malibucity.org. Coastal Engineering staff are available during public counter hours (Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 to 11:00 am) to discuss the guidelines in person. Comments and revisions will be reviewed by the City and incorporated where appropriate into the final "Guidelines for the Preparation of Coastal Engineering Reports and Procedures for Report Submittal." Coastal Engineering staff can also be contacted by phone at (310) 456-2489 ext. 307 to answer any questions regarding the draft guidelines.
