Holiday Park Schedule and Rules

The City invites its residents, their families and friends to take advantage of the wonderful park facilities and activities available in Malibu over the holidays. The City's Parks and Recreation Department also has many special camps and activities scheduled for the winter break. Below is the holiday schedule for City parks and facilities:

City Hall & Malibu Senior Center
Closed December 24, 25, 31 and January 1

Malibu Community Pool
Closed December 24, 25, 31 and January 1
Altered hours the week of December 24: Open Wednesday, December 26, through Friday, December 28, 4pm to 7pm
Open regular winter hours on weekends and New Years week beginning Wednesday, January 2

Malibu Bluffs Park
December 24 - Park office is open 9am to 12pm. Park is open until sunset.
December 25 - Park office closed. Park is open until sunset.
December 31 - Park office is open 9am to 3pm. Park is open until sunset.
January 1 - Park office is closed. Park is open until sunset.

Charmlee Wilderness Park
The park is open through the holidays, but will not be staffed and the Nature Center will be closed on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.
Gates will close at 4pm on all holidays. The park will be staffed on weekends from 8am to 5pm.

Trancas Park
Gates open at 8am and close at sunset on all holidays.

SMMUSD Schools
All campuses will be closed during winter break from December 24 to January 4. Campuses will be open for the public as always on weekends only. Malibu High School pool restrooms are open when the pool is open.

PARK RULES:

The City of Malibu does NOT allow BBQs, open fires or smoking at any of its parks or facilities. For the safety of others, please remember to observe park rules requiring dogs to be on a leash and under the control of their owner at all times (except at Trancas Canyon Park in the designated dog park area).
