Park Maintenance Program and Integrated Pest Management Policy

The primary goal of the Park Maintenance Division is to provide safe and clean facilities while protecting the natural and cultural resources of each facility. Goals and objectives are accomplished through the maintenance of parks and facilities by reliable and well-trained staff.

The purpose of the Integrated Pest Management Policy is to establish the best management practices for controlling pests that are harmful to the health, function or aesthetic value of park landscapes in an efficient, effective, and environmentally responsible manner, while paying careful attention to public safety. The Integrated Pest Management Policy was adopted by City Council on October 28, 2013.

Water Conservation Plan

The purpose of the City Parks and Facilities Water Conservation Plan is to implement sustainable practices in maintaining City parks and facilities while employing water saving opportunities as they become available and to achieve water allocation goals set by the City’s water provider.

The Plan reflects the City’s commitment to water conservation by establishing water use guidelines based on drought conditions and community priorities.

The City Parks and Facilities Water Conservation Plan was adopted by City Council on August 24, 2015.
