Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Street Maintenance Project
Project Description

The Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Street Maintenance Project is a part of the City’s approved Five Year Pavement Management Plan (PMP). Approved in 2012, the PMP provides a systematic and consistent method for assessing street maintenance and rehabilitation needs. It also provides the optimal time for maintenance and rehabilitation for every City owned street. The project work includes rubberized asphalt overlay, slurry seal, pavement repair, cold milling, demolition, traffic control, utility work, signage, traffic striping and appurtenant work. 

The major project components of the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Street Maintenance Project are:

  • Rubberized Asphalt Resurfacing: Lower portion of Corral Canyon Rd, and middle and upper portion of Latigo Canyon Rd. Completed November 2014
  • Slurry Seal: Rambla Vista Rd, between PCH and Villa Costera Rd. Completed January 2015
  • Speed Humps: Zumirez Dr. Completed November 2014

Project Benefits
The project is intended to improve and maintain the quality of the roadway and ensure that the City’s local road network continues to meet the current and future needs of the community.

The project is funded by Traffic Safety Funds, Proposition C, and Measure R, with contributions from the City.

Project Status
The Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Street Maintenance Project was accepted as complete by the City Council at its Regular meeting on March 23, 2015.
