Parent and Me & Youth Tennis Classes (Ages 3-12)

All classes will be held on Saturday mornings, excluding holiday weekends, at the Malibu High School Tennis Courts. Classes are instructed by Nina Eriksson, who has a Master's Degree in Education, and has coached tennis for the last 20 years at numerous locations, including the Malibu Racquet Club, Sherwood Country Club, Malibu Tennis Camp, Nike Tennis Camp, and Top Speed Tennis Academy.

Youth Beginner and Intermediate (Ages 7-9) 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Youth Advanced (Ages 10-12) 11:30 AM-12:30 PM

Coach Pitch Baseball (Coed, Ages 4-7)

Join the City’s Coach Pitch Baseball League for a fun-filled season of learning the game of baseball. In each at bat, the player will receive five pitches from their own coach; if they are unable to hit off the pitch, a tee will be used to ensure success. No player strikes out! 

Volunteer coaches were provided their rosters on March 6.  If you have not heard from your coach please contact (310) 456-2489 ext. 363.

Middle School Boys Tennis (Grades 6-8)

Boys TennisThe Middle School Tennis program provides a complete pathway of tennis development, from fun recreational introductory classes to elite performance to prepare them for the high school team. Participants will improve hand-eye coordination and agility, racquet-handling skills, and familiarize themselves with the tennis court. Instructor will focus on building the foundation and cultivating a love of the game through basic strokes and fun games associated with tennis. No traveling required; all classes take place at Malibu High School.  Information

Boys Grades 6-8
Friday, March 10-May 12 (No class April 7 and April 14)

Middle School Coed Volleyball (Grades 6-8)

Players will be grouped by grade and ability to learn volleyball drills, skills, and techniques Middle School Volleyballalong with teamwork in a positive and structured environment. Participants will also have an opportunity to develop leadership skills and build self-esteem as they improve their technique. Emphasis will be on proper warm-ups, footwork drills, agility, passing, serving, hitting, serving, defense and game strategies. Maximum participation: 20 participants.

Youth Flag Football League (Grades 2-5)

Flag Football Edited.jpgThe City of Malibu Flag Football League is back for Fall 2017!  Teams will be created by division (Grades 2-3 and 4-5) and school (Juan Cabrillo, Point Dume and Webster).  If your child is in 6th or 7th grade please contact (310) 456-2489 ext. 363 to be placed on an interest list for that age level.  Information

Practices-  Mondays, August 28- October 30 at individual schools.

Games- Wednesdays, September 13 - November 1 at Malibu Bluffs Park

$175 per player (includes: jersey, flag, mouth piece, picture package and end of program award)

Teams will consist of no more than ten players per team.  Teams will play five on five for games  Volunteer coaches needed.  Registration will open on April 1 at www.malibucity.org/register.
