Youth Sports Programs

Youth & Teen Tennis Classes (Ages 5-17)

All classes will be held on Saturday mornings, excluding holiday weekends, at the Malibu High School Tennis Courts. Classes are instructed by Nina Eriksson, who has a Master's Degree in Education, and has coached tennis for the last 20 years at numerous locations, including the Malibu Racquet Club, Sherwood Country Club, Malibu Tennis Camp, Nike Tennis Camp, and Top Speed Tennis Academy. Classes will resume in September 2017.

Class Schedule

Little Players Tennis (Ages 5-6) 9 AM - 10 AM
Youth Beginner and Intermediate (Ages 7-9) 10 AM - 11 AM
Youth Advanced (Ages 10-12) 11 AM - 12 PM
Teen Competitive (Ages 13-17) 12 PM - 1 PM

Youth Flag Football League (Grades 2-5)

Teams will be created by division (Grades 2-3 and 4-5)                                                       and school (JuanYouth Flag Football League Updated Information.jpg Cabrillo, PointDume and Webster).  If your child is in 6th or 7th grade please contact (310) 456-2489 ext. 363 to be placed on an interest list for that age level.  Information

Updated Information (8/16/17) *The start of the league has been delayed two weeks. Coaches are still needed for Point Dume and Cabrillo Grades 4/5. Both coaches and players are needed for Webster and Cabrillo Grades 2/3.

$175 per player (includes: jersey, flag, mouth piece, picture package and award).  Teams will consist of no more than ten players per team.  Teams will play five on five for games Volunteer coaches needed.  

Middle School Volleyball (Grades 6-8)

Middle School Girls Volleyball 2017.jpgCoaches will create a challenging and fun environment for middle school players who want to excel to the next level, beginners welcome.  Practices held on Mondays and inter squad scrimmages on Wednesdays.  Price includes a team t-shirt, knee pads and end of season award. 

Minimum: 12 participants
Maximum: 24 participants

Middle School Tennis (Grades 6-8)

Middle School Girls Tennis 2017.jpgPrepare for the high school tennis team through weekly practices where players can participate in singles and doubles matches and improve their tennis skills.  No traveling required. Price includes shirt and end of season award.  

Minimum: 5 participants
Maximum: 12 participants

$150 per player

Middle School Cross Country (Grades 6-8)

Middle School Cross Country 2017.jpgStudents will learn about efficient running techniques in an innovative and developmentally appropriate scope and sequence.  The instructor will also emphasize healthy lifestyle habits and responsibility.  Bi-weekly practices will take place at areas surrounding the Malibu High School campus and Zuma Beach.  Price includes t-shirt and end of program award.

Minimum: 5 participants
Maximum: 10 participants

Tuesdays and Thursdays

Middle School Cheerleading (Grades 6-8)

Middle School Cheerleading 2017.jpgShow your Malibu Sharks school spirit by joining the middle school cheer squad.  Learn cheer motions, jumps, kicks, stunts and tumble to your favorite music.  Uniform fee includes shell, skirt, practice gear, poms and shoes.

Minimum: 10 participants
Maximum: 20 participants
