Summer Day Camps
The City of Malibu offers day camp programs to the community during the spring, summer, and winter breaks for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. Camps include a variety of enrichment, sports, and surf camps.

Aspects Surf Camp
Aspects Surf Camp will provide superior instruction and a dynamic curriculum while teaching the basics of surfing. Instructors will professionally teach the skills of surfing while sharing a healthy respect and awareness of the beauty and power of the ocean. Low participant to instructor ratio.  Participants must be able to swim and tread water.  Surfboards will be provided if needed.

Enrichment Camps for Ages 3-6 by Momentum Academies
Monday-Thursday, 10 AM - 1 PM at Malibu Bluffs Park, $150 per week

July 10-13, Baker's Corner- Campers will participate in hands on culinary experiences and learn about kitchen safety and baking fundamentals.  Activities may include: cookies, cakes, international breads, pastries and more.

July 17-20, Under the Sea- Participants will learn all the wonders of ocean life through personal and group exploration. Imagination and science will come together in a fun and exciting learning environment.

July 24-27, Journey into Art- Whether participants like to doodle or want to become the next Michelangelo, this dynamic art class will encourage participants to explore various mediums and projects. 

July 31-August 3, Pirate Treasure Hunt- Jack Sparrow isn’t the only pirate in town. All participants will have their own pirate catch phrase, design their own ship, cast a first mate, learn to read a treasure map and of course, find buried treasure. 

August 7-10, Science Explorers- Step into the lab with mad scientists!  Participants will learn about plants, animals, and how science comes to life. Each day participants will experience hands-on experiments that deepen their understanding of biology, chemistry and more.

Sports Camps
Sports camps will also be offered to those with a desire to learn a new sport, as well as those wanting to improve their skills and learn more advanced techniques.  Sports camps will be offered for basketball, baseball, flag football, volleyball and tennis. Sports camps will be presented in a fun and invigorating training environment and offer the core skills of each sport to ensure correct instruction by many Malibu High School Coaches.

Day Camp Manual and Location Maps
This manual provides helpful camp information, including:
  • Participant Information Form (including Medical and those authorized for pick-up)       
  • Site maps of Malibu High School and Malibu Bluffs Park

Participant Information Form
The Participant Information Form must be turned in on the first day of camp. One form is required for each participant and will be kept on file for the duration of the camp. The form will address any medical or health concerns, emergency contacts, adults able to pick up the participants, etc.

Participants must be able to swim and tread water. Surfboards will be provided if needed. Check in/out will take place in the Malibu Lagoon Parking Lot. Camps will take place at Surfrider Beach Tower 3.
